Driver App



First use after installation

In order to track the driver, you will be prompted to set location sharing permissions. Ensure Allow all the time is selected.

Location Permissions


Driver should start driver app when starting a shift.

Stay on the Home screen and await any orders to be assigned to the driver

Home
If for some reason the driver did not receive the Push Notification, they can manually fetch it by clicking I am there

If the driver is not at the store > Go there
Driver will be directed to the store using Google Maps and Delivery Dashboard will show their ETA.

When an order(s) have been assigned on the POS the 'Driver App' will automatically receive the orders and move to the Accept screen.


Accept

The driver will be able to view all the orders within the delivery group (Order 1/2 shown above and Order 2/2 shown below) by toggling through each of the orders pressing < or >on screen. The driver must now accept the delivery group with the orders. This will then update the delivery dashboard and POS, where the order status is now 'Assigned', signifying the driver has accepted the orders in the delivery group. The pins on the map display the location of the order with the delivery address.


If an order(s) is/are set a delivery group and assigned a driver on the POS, more orders can be added, however once the driver accepts the delivery group on the driver app > No further orders can be added to the same delivery group.

Once the delivery group with the orders have been accepted. The orders are listed on the list view screen. This displays the current delivery positions of the orders with the customer name, store order number, customer address, delivery due time and the number of items in the order.


Once the driver has collected all the order items, '**Slide to Start**' which changes the status of the 1st order in the list to 'On the way'.
At this point the delivery dashboard in store will begin showing the driver location with a pin marker, with the driver initials on it).


Start

Now the 'On the way' screen is displayed. The details of the order being delivered is populated with 

- Store order number, 

- Customer name and address,

- The total order cost is displayed.  

Please NOTE if the Cash text is shown Not Paid, this prompts the driver to collect the money on delivery
if the Paid text is GREEN, the order has been paid in advance.

The due in time is displayed which is updated in real time counting down the time left to deliver

Navigation

Navigation icon on the top right of the screen will open Google maps and show routing from the current location to the delivery address automatically. This functionality can also be accessed by pressing the options button which triggers a menu bar to be shown at the button of the screen.

Call######
If for whatever reason the driver needs to call the customer, simply pressing the phone icon will automatically populate the customer contact number into the mobile device dialler.

Skip - Drivers have the ability to skip orders and override the delivery group sequence. 
Cancel - Drivers will have the ability to cancel an order in the delivery group. (TBC - This will be released in the next update of the app)
Details - Drivers can view the items of the order.
Navigate - Drivers are able to get routing from their current location to the delivery address.

Options

The image below displays next order in group (Skip has been pressed).

Pressing the Details icon will display the order items. Pressing the screen anywhere outside the pop will remove it.

Pressing the options button once more will remove the menu bar. 

Once the driver has arrived at the customer location, the ARRIVED TO CUSTOMER button is pressed, which then moves onto the delivered screen.

The same functionality using the options button is also present on the delivered screen. 

Once the driver has delivered the order to the customer, pressing FINISHED ORDER will complete the order, this will update the delivery dashboard and the POS automatically. If there are any further orders to be delivered in the delivery group then the next order will be displayed with a status of 'On the way' automatically.

Once all orders have been completed, a pop up will appear showing number of orders delivered and that the driver should return to the store. Pressing '**Return to Store**' takes the driver back to the home screen.


The driver must now press ON THE WAY BACK in order for the app to send the store the estimated time of arrival. This will then be displayed in store on the delivery dashboard.


FAQs

What happens if I'm assigned a delivery group and I'm not logged into the app?

Once the driver has logged in the orders in the delivery group will automatically be displayed.

What if my phone's battery runs out?

Once the device is restored and the app re-opened, the sequence of orders will continue from where it left off.

What do I need to do once I have completed my shift?

Ensure that any monies that are due are passed onto the store. Close the driver shift on the POS and simply close the driver app.

Receiving orders from different stores
Currently you can only receive orders from the store that you were setup in.
Should you wish to share drivers between stores, please email us for a solution.
