Setup Guide: Delivery Zones

Overview

When delivering orders you will want to restrict the areas you deliver to and when you take orders from, this can be done by following the guide below:

MyOrderBox POS orders - use Postcodes as Polygons are not supported. For that when trying to 'Add a new customer' for delivery and for its delivery charges, please make sure under Store: Setup > Online Ordering > Delivery > Settings : Postal Codes & Charges, postcodes are written such as "N9_" with its delivery fee and is active for it to show the delivery charge on the POS when trying to add a postcode manually.

Use polygons to easily configure the delivery zones for online ordering Website, App and MyFoodFast POS.

Back Office

  • Navigate to each Store: Setup > Online Ordering > Delivery > Zones > New Zone
  • Map will open > Click Draw a Shape > Map your desired delivery zone using polygons
  • Complete the required fields >
  • Name
  • Minimum (order) - Minimum spend to place an order for this area
  • (Delivery) Charge - Delivery charge for this particular area
  • Free Delivery over
  • Priority
Zones may overlap, and zone with a lower priority number "wins" that delivery. This also applies on zones between stores in a company, not just for zones in one store. If you use a stepping of 10.00, this gives you a chance to slide in a new zone between zones with priority 15.00, without changing priorities 10.00 and 20.00 or another way is to use 10.10, 10.15,10.20For example little rectangle in the middle is "Free zone" with priority 10.00 Larger shape has 20.00 and the biggest one has 30.00 This way you don't need to draw a shape around "Free zone" but over instead.
  • Available 24/7-
  • Uncheck to restrict zones to particular days and times.
  • NEW: When unchecked, you can select which days of the week delivery is available (Mon-Sun) and set specific time ranges for each day.
  • Useful if wanting to have different Minimum Spend or Charge limits at different times or to disable delivery on specific days.
You MUST have a delivery zone available at all times, for a user to be able to access your store at any time, otherwise they would see the message "Sorry, we do not serve this area." even though you do at a different time. So best to leave at least one zone as available 24/7 OR ensure at least one zone covers every day/time you want to offer delivery.
  • Enter Delivery time as the time would you want the Preparation and Delivery time calculated from.

Restricting Delivery to Specific Days of the Week

Use Case: You want to offer delivery only on certain days (e.g., Thursday-Sunday only) while keeping collection available all week.

Solution: Use the day selection feature in Delivery Zones:

  1. Navigate to Store: Setup > Online Ordering > Delivery > Zones
  2. Edit each delivery zone that should have day restrictions
  3. Uncheck "Available 24/7"
  4. A day selection panel will appear with:
  • Checkboxes for each day (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun)
  • Start time and End time fields
  1. Uncheck the days when delivery should NOT be available (e.g., uncheck Mon, Tue, Wed)
  2. Keep checked the days when delivery IS available (e.g., Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun)
  3. Set the time ranges for the enabled days
  4. Click Save
  5. Repeat for ALL delivery zones that cover the same area

Important Notes:

  • This controls delivery availability for the Website, App, and MFF POS
  • On disabled days, customers will see "We don't deliver to your area" when they enter an address in that zone
  • Collection orders are not affected - customers can still order for collection on any day
  • The "Delivery Times" in Delivery > Settings define the operating hours but DO NOT control which days delivery is available - that's controlled by the zones
  • If you have multiple overlapping zones, all zones need the same day restrictions applied, or customers might see inconsistent availability

Example Scenario:

Store wants delivery Thursday-Sunday only, but collection available all week:

  • Edit all delivery zones → Uncheck "Available 24/7"
  • Uncheck Mon, Tue, Wed
  • Check Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun with appropriate time ranges
  • Result: Mon-Wed customers can only order for collection; Thu-Sun customers can choose delivery or collection
