Setup guide: Card payments for website and app
MyFoodFast Payments with Stripe Connect Express
MyFoodFast offers a fully integrated payment solution for both your website, mobile app, kiosk and POS. Setup takes just minutes in the Back Office.
- Apple Pay & Google Pay: Fully supported. Customers can pay without entering card details for the fastest checkout.
- Existing merchants: Your current payment flow continues to work. No disruption.
- New merchants: Onboard using Stripe Connect Express via a secure Stripe-hosted flow.
Prerequisites
- Subscription: A plan that supports Online Ordering.
- Stripe eligibility: Your business must meet Stripe’s requirements in your country. See Stripe’s docs for supported countries and payout timelines.
Back Office Setup
1) Connect your Stripe account
- Go to: Store > Setup > Add Ons > Stripe
- Click: “Connect with Stripe Express”
- A new tab opens to Stripe. Follow the on-screen steps to:
- Create or connect your Stripe Express account
- Provide business and payout details
- Complete identity verification (if requested)
- When finished, Stripe redirects you back to the Back Office.
Notes:
- If the link expires, just click “Connect with Stripe Express” again.
- If Stripe needs more info later, you’ll see an “Action Required” message with a button to complete setup.
Verifying Your Connection
After connecting, the Stripe section shows:
- Account ID (starts with
acct_...
) - Charges enabled status
- Payouts enabled status
- Setup complete indicator
- If additional information is required, click “Complete Setup” to finish onboarding.
Apple Pay and Google Pay
- No extra setup is required in MyFoodFast.
- Apple Pay appears on supported Apple devices/browsers (e.g., Safari).
- Google Pay appears on supported Android devices/browsers (e.g., Chrome).
- Availability depends on the customer’s device, browser, and Stripe eligibility.
Managing Transactions and Payouts
- View payments, payouts, disputes, and reports in the Stripe Dashboard: Stripe Dashboard
- You can update banking and business details directly in Stripe at any time.
FAQs
- I already have a Stripe account. Can I use it?
Yes. During onboarding, choose to sign in and connect your existing Stripe account to MyFoodFast.
- Do I need a separate account per store?
If you operate multiple stores, you can connect a Stripe account per store to keep payouts separate.
- Why am I seeing “Action Required”?
Stripe needs additional information to enable charges or payouts. Click the button shown to complete the required steps.
- What if the onboarding link expires?
Return to the Back Office Stripe section and click “Connect with Stripe Express” again to generate a fresh link.
- Are there any changes for existing merchants?
No. Existing merchants continue as normal. New merchants onboard via the updated Stripe flow.
- How do I issue refunds?
Refunds can be managed in the Back Office (where enabled) or directly in the Stripe Dashboard.
