Before you start

Ensure that the network points are within a metre of where the Terminals and printers will go.
Network router/switch being used must have empty ports for each device being added
Thermal Printer rolls 80mm
You must ensure that if you are using your own printers that they connect to Windows and successfully complete a test print. We are not responsible for this, and may charge for this

If you have ordered the POS bundle i.e Terminal, Cash Drawer and Printer you will have received 3 boxes.

Cash drawer

Before opening the package, decide on a suitable location for the cash drawer. If you would like the POS terminal to be placed on top of it, ensure the surface is flat and will hold the weight.
Open the cash drawer carefully. You will notice that the keys are attached to the top of the drawer and at the back of the drawer you will find the cable which will need to be connected to the Customer Printer.

Printer

Unbox printer carefully, once open you will notice a small box at the top, this contains the following:-
1. Power lead
2. 3 x clear bags containing Power cable, adapter, paper roll & USB cable
3. Small box containing printer instructions & 1 CD
After removing these items from the box, the printer will be below. Unwrap and place where it is to be used. Remove the tape attached to the top of the printer holding down the printer flap.

How to Install and Troubleshoot a Zebra ZD230 Label Printer on Windows

Introduction

This guide will walk you through the installation and troubleshooting of a Zebra ZD230 label printer on a Windows operating system.

Step 1: Unbox and Set Up the Printer

Unbox the Printer:

Remove the printer and all accessories from the box.
Ensure you have the power cord, USB cable, and any other necessary components.

Connect Power and Turn On the Printer:

Connect the power cord to the printer and plug it into a power outlet.
Press the power button to turn on the printer.

Load Labels:

Open the printer cover.
Place the roll of labels on the label supply holder.
Feed the labels through the guides and ensure they are properly aligned.
Close the printer cover.

Step 2: Install the Printer Driver

Download the Driver:

Visit the Zebra website and navigate to the ZD230 support page.
Download the latest driver for your Windows version.

Install the Driver:

Run the downloaded driver installation file.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Connect the Printer to the Computer:

Connect the printer to your computer using the USB cable.

Setup AnyDesk on POS / KDS Terminal

In order to provide support remotely we must have access to the POS Terminal. Installing this software should only take a minute.

If using your own hardware

Download the installer (anydesk.exe) here: AnyDesk MyOrderBox

Click on ‘Install AnyDesk on this computer’

If using your hardware provided by MyOrderBox

There should be a blue AnyDesk icon the desktop. In this case:

In Windows Search box type either

C:\ProgramData\AnyDesk
%programdata%\AnyDesk

Then delete the file * service.conf
Restart Windows Operating system and open AnyDesk on restart
The ID should change now

Take a picture of the ‘AnyDesk-Address:’ and share that with us on (support@myorderboxhq.com),
In the windows task bar you will see the blue AnyDesk icon, right click and select pin to taskbar
The installation is now complete.

Reset an AnyDesk ID

If there is a cloned AnyDesk ID, you will need to reset it so a new ID can be generated.

Ensure Anydesk is completely closed: Right click on the Task Bar > Task Manager > All AnyDesk programs > End task
In Windows Search box type %programdata%\AnyDesk
Then delete the file service.conf
Restart the Terminal so Windows restarts and open AnyDesk
The ID should change now

The printer has stopped printing?

|| MyOrderBox POS does NOT communicate with any printer directly but through the Windows operating system itself. || The Windows Admin account password is required.

In order to troubleshoot any printer problems follow the steps below:

Windows

Windows 10 search box type Printers & Scanners
Click the printer you have a problem with and select
Open Print queue > Printer > Cancel all documents
Manage > Print a test page

If it prints successfully

Customer Receipt Printer > Set as default | (This is the only printer that should be default)
All other printers: > Close window
Return to the POS application

Step 1: Check the Connections

Power Connection:

Ensure the printer is properly plugged into a power outlet and turned on, indicated with a green LED light.
Verify that the power cable is securely connected to the printer and the outlet.
Ensure that there is paper roll within the printer.

Data Connection:

Ethernet:

Check that the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the printer and the network switch/router.
Ensure the network cable is not damaged. USB:
Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
Try plugging the cable into a different USB port on the computer.

Step 2: Print a Self-Test Page

Power the printer off.
Press the FEED button while simultaneously turning
