Setup Crucible Caller ID
Before you start
- Supported unit: Crucible CTI Comet USB CallerId
- Standard phone line socket connection. For VoIP adapter is required.
- 2-way splitter adapter phone caller ID
- Caller ID needs to be activated by your phone provider for it to work.

Please note recent Windows 10 update forces driver signing which prevents Windows 10 from assigning the COMET USB driver. Please follow this first :
A recent Windows 10 update forces driver signing which prevents Windows 10 from assigning the COMET USB driver. This is signified by a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager against COMET USB.
To enable Windows 10 to install the driver, you need to disable device driver signing by following the instructions below.
Disable Device Driver Signing From Windows Menus
Select the “Start” button.
- Type “startup”.
- Select “Change advanced startup settings“.
- Select “Restart now” under the “Advanced startup” area.
- Select “Troubleshoot“.
- Select “Advanced Options“.
- Select “Startup Options/Settings“.
- Select “Restart“.
- A menu will appear where you can press “7” on your keyboard to choose “Disable driver signing enforcement“.
- Download the driver to your terminal.

- Once complete, go to POS > Advanced Setiings > Apps >Switch ON CallerID > Select Crucible CallerId from drop-down > CallerID pop-up YES
