How to uninstall Windows update

Case



This was needed after the update on Windows from 03/21 when the receipts were being printed blank.



Solution



Firstly,
• Press the Windows logo key + R then type gpedit.msc and click OK.
• Go to "Computer Configuration" > "Administrative Templates" > "Windows Components" > "Windows Update".
• Double-click "Configure Automatic Updates".
• Select "Disabled" in Configured Automatic Updates on the left, and click Apply and "OK"* *to disable the Windows automatic update feature.
After this:
• Press the Windows logo key + R then type services.msc and click OK.
• Go to "Windows Update service"
• Click on the “General” tab and change the “Startup Type” to “Disabled”.
• Restart the machine
Secondly, we will uninstall the KB that is causing the issue, by following these steps (that are also on the card):
Settings > Update & Security> Update history > Uninstall updates >
2021-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB5000803)
Once this is done, we are sure that the problem will be resolved.
