Setup MyOrderBox POS / KDS hardware?

Before you start

Ensure that the network points are within a metre of where the Terminals and printers will go.
Network router/switch being used must have empty ports for each device being added
Thermal Printer rolls 80mm
You must ensure that if you are using your own printers that they connect to Windows and successfully complete a test print. We are not responsible for this, and may charge for this

If you have ordered the POS bundle i.e Terminal, Cash Drawer and Printer you will have received 3 boxes.

Cash drawer

Before opening the package, decide on a suitable location for the cash drawer. If you would like the POS terminal to be placed on top of it, ensure the surface is flat and will hold the weight.
Open the cash drawer carefully. You will notice that the keys are attached to the top of the drawer and at the back of the drawer you will find the cable which will need to be connected to the Customer Printer.

Printer

Unbox printer carefully, once open you will notice a small box at the top, this contains the following:-
Power lead
3 x clear bags containing Power cable, adapter, paper roll & USB cable
Small box containing printer instructions & 1 CD
After removing these items from the box, the printer will be below. Unwrap and place where it is to be used. Remove the tape attached to the top of the printer holding down the printer flap.
Open the printer flap by pushing the black button on the left-hand side. Place the printer roll inside taking care to place it properly shown on the image inside the printer. The end of the roll should be exposed once the flap is closed.
Connect power lead and power adaptor together. Now connect the end of the power lead to the back of the printer slot showing 24V.
Connect the cable behind the cash drawer to the underside of the printer. (The connection shows a picture of the cash drawer and the letters DK).
Connecting the Customer printer via either:

POS / KDS Terminal

Remove the packaging carefully. The Box contains the following:-
x 1 POS Driver CD

x1  Power lead & adaptor

Connect power lead and adaptor together.
Behind the POS terminal you will notice the ports. Covering the connections is a detachable panel, gently pull it and it will come off exposing the ports.
Connect the power lead to terminal underside into connection labelled (DCIN) and insert the plug on other end into the electrical socket.
Next connect Ethernet cable from router/switch into the ethernet port under the POS terminal.
Now we are ready to power on the terminal. On the left-hand side, you will notice the power button in the bottom which will now be on standby (orange). Press it to turn red and power on the terminal. This will start up Windows and prepare the terminal for use.
Finally carefully replace the underside panel, removed earlier, once more covering the connections.![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/1fa47f2018547800/d5707662-1674-47c4-a4b5-f140d5_1anjk01.png)
