SQL Server
MyOrderBox POS is built to run on any Windows device as a plug and play service, for a single terminal store.
If however, you wish to use multiple POS terminals that are in sync at all times or our Kitchen Displays (KDS) then a SQL Server installation is required.
Prerequisites
- An existing account with MyOrderBox
- Terminals bought directly from MyOrderBox come preconfigured with all that is required to run the POS /KDS including SQL server installation. They will just need configuring, which is usually done as part of getting you setup.
- If using your own hardware, then the SQL Server installation must be carried out by on our support team. Please create a support ticket providing the Anydesk ID for the new terminal.
How do I change the terminal acting as the Server?
Moving the server onto another machine is possible, however cannot be done by a user and will require our support team to do this.
The installation of the server onto another terminal will typical take about one hour. This is a chargeable service.
If this is some thing you would like to book in. Please send a new support ticket to the helpdesk requesting this. In the request provide Anydesk Id for the new terminal.
